1010AD Mindlobster – The Hardest Working Helmet in Showbusiness EP

Mindlobster releases – and probably is – “The Hardest Working Helmet in Show Business”. The EP’s four songs bear the sounds of vintage electro, some shaking the dancefloor, others your mind.
“Ghost Meat” is announced by hollow voice when the first track of the EP takes off: A catchy flute leads a solid rocking beat of compressed electro patterns. With “Waking Underwater” Mindlobster shows his talent of combining samples and sound bites from various genres, weaving them together into a tune that reminds of that long journey around the globe.
With “Tho” the EP takes a melancholic turn with film noir aesthetics underlined by a downtempo electroncia beat. Midtune the speed doubles elevating the mood into a trance like state. “Transmitters for God”, the final track is a down-to-earth electro tune with incredible drive.
