Well I passed my test and I have ended up buying myself a car, I got myself a Rover 200 1.1 with 60,000 miles on the clock, full service history for £600 😉
Pick it up Tuesday from work

April 5, 2008 at 11:40 pm #1124165I should be getting a peugot 206 (hopefully!) in the next few months. Not bad for a first car I think. I can’t wait to learn to drive.

I can’t wait to learn to drive. They’re nice cars, I’ve got one (well, shared with my mum haha). Ideal for a first car, or that’s what everyone tells me and I agree so far, although I haven’t passed yet I still drive about everywhere with my brother for practice.
My driving instructor has a 2 litre and I gotta say it’s easy for that power to escape with you if you’re a new driver…

Ahh it’s good to hear(read?) someone say something good about it, quite a few people have said they’re crap cars but then again most of those people are well over the age to consider getting one. 😛
The thought of driving a 2 litre scares me. I don’t think i’m ever going over a 1.4. I know i’m going to be a really awful driver but i still can’t wait :weee:

I doubt, if there was any truth in it, that it rings true today, it just seems a saying that hasn’t died out when British car manufacturing has long gone.
Then again, I could be completely wrong and French cars could be about as reliable as a Pete Doherty rehab program.
