that has a lot to do with it…

you could buy Wigan for the cost of a train ticket from the South, and even if someone has a car petrol/diesel is fucking expensive these days…

Plus daftfader would probably end up on the freight train and finish up at somewhere like the chemical depot at Scunthorpe..

End up in Scunthorpe, he wouldn’t know what’d hit him! It’s so depressing. Perfect example of a once thriving town having it’s industry destroyed and being left to kill each other, basically, with community in tatters as there’s nothing to join it together. Same as Grimsby… Same as a lot of Northern towns, although a lot are finally rebuilding themselves, such as Sheffield as a university town… fuck Thatcher…

I remember some years ago some Chinese businessmen from Singapore bought the entire chemical plant, they did keep on the British workforce but of course a place like that only has about 20 men keeping an eye on computerised systems rather than the hundreds it once employed.

and thats only there because the Indians bought it….

but if they can hold out through rising oil prices maybe it will make more sense to make more steel here rather than transport it over from China?

We wos there !! Passed by the rig a couple of times, first time we were still scoping the party out and meant to come back and chat later. Got captured by that acid trance rig for a couple of hours !! – the dj’s mixing may not have been classic but the tunes certainly were raaa

By the time we got back round the circuit the rig had gone phut and the only people behind it were a bit too sketchy to answer when I asked after anyone I might know :laugh_at: So never got to meet up with you guys at all 😥

Was a great little party, we only stayed til about 4 cos sammi wasn’t feeling too good but certainly had a blast for the time we were there. Could do with more like that  :bounce_fl
