March 9, 2013 at 7:10 pm #1268728They’re all awesome, i can’t pick a sorta favourite one cos i realize i mostly like about 3 or 4 songs off of each album.

March 9, 2013 at 7:55 pm #1268724I saw them back in 2005, can’t say they were anything to rave about to be honest.
March 9, 2013 at 8:09 pm #1268729Pffffffft

One of the greatest Metal instrumental tracks ever too:

Admittedly I wouldn’t call myself a Megadeth fan but I do like a lot of their songs. It was at Download festival and they just didn’t get the crowd going like some of the other bands.
Now Black Sabbath, whose music ironically I don’t like as much, really put on a fuckin EPIC showraaa
March 9, 2013 at 9:31 pm #1268721Aaaaaaah, Sabbath! Music to my ears! Classical stuff man.
But Bands like Sabbath paved the way for bands like Megadeth!

This is true. When it comes to the old schoolers I’m more of an AC/DC or Iron Maiden man though.
March 9, 2013 at 9:40 pm #1268722Don’t talk to me about Maiden. I LOVE Iron Maiden!
You can’t really compare them though. Totally different mettle of fish!
March 9, 2013 at 9:57 pm #1268730Yeah maiden are very diff, i never could get in to them :s
Sabbath rule raaaI’m a big slipknot fan and went to an epic gig in 2005, Slayer was the after band (i can never remember what an after band is called???)I had never really given Slayer the attention they deserved cos as i was growing up you had to ‘choose’ slayer or slipknot, like a footy team or something (i know fucking kids ey)
Slipknot are very entertaining and blew the crowds minds as expected, but Slayer warped me in to a whole new galaxy, i wouldnt have thought it coulda got more entertaining or heavier than slipknot with the show they put on but Slayer did it.. and from that day on i was smitten 🙂March 9, 2013 at 10:16 pm #1268727@Chrispydelic 531529 wrote:

I wasn’t comparing them. I was simply stating my preference.
Lets stop quarrelling and enjoy some

or some
Megadeth – Sweating Bullets – YouTube
Jeez is that the official video, I’ve never seen it before and it’s terrible lol. Sweet tune
Weird, I seem to be unable to edit the Megadeth link to insert the actual videoMarch 10, 2013 at 12:16 am #1268717My favourite metal band will always be Tool. Them and Porcupine Tree if you count them as metal, but I only find some of their tracks to be metallish. Tool really do it for me.
March 10, 2013 at 12:19 am #1268723I’ve only recently discovered Tool. Probably the only truly psychedelic metal band.

You should check out Porcupine Tree. A lot of their early work was very Pink Floyd-ish but since 2002 they’ve had some really good metal (mostly leaning towards prog metal). But yeah Tool are truly out of this world. They’ve got a big Bill Hicks connection too.
March 10, 2013 at 8:01 am #1268731i think i have to agree, there is a special place in my heart for Tool, actually i’m wearing my tool hoodie right now
