Ha ha, cool mate, I might try and get something done later on. Had trouble when I loaded a beat into FL, it sounded like a cd skipping, so downloaded audacity last night. As soon as I’m familiar with how to do everything on there, I’ll be good to go dude.

Really, right. on fl what did you chose for the recording? edison or a plain wave file onto the DAW

oh when you played it back was it all poppy and clippy sounding? co i can fix easy if it was

Imported a wav file onto it and then it played the 1st couple of seconds fine, then started skipping and then about 8 secs in, it popped loudly and then the tune just died after that.

Easily fixable though you say? Excellent news, makes me glad I bought that extended membership with log-tech support now!

Yes it’s your latency buffer, it needs to be able to load the samples so it knows what to play before it is time for that sound to be played if you get my means. I’ll show you two secs

Ok mate here is what you have to do.

If the problem persists you will have to change to ASIO driver like me. FL should have installed it as standard but in some cases it doesn’t so I will find you a link for downloading. Again it is simple.

problem is, where recording audio is so memory heavy it kinda bolloxes the shit. FL is renound for having issues with windows primary sound cards

The asio4all link doesn’t work mate, it just gives me an error message saying ‘error opening file for writing’. If it doesn’t work, it’s no drama mate, I can use audacity to record and fl to learn how to make tunes of my own – and then you’ll be sick of me badgering you to teach me how to use this and that, ha ha!

Hmm, just realised that asio4all may already be installed on my computer – that could be the problem, ha ha!

Yeah, FL may have put it on with the install, older versions didn’t but newer ones do. So have you tweaked the latency buffers??

I’d only done the first part of it mate, oops! Have now done the 2nd part, so should now be working, just gotta find out how to recover the track and I’ll be all good…
