Ha ha, very clever smart ass, but you CAN start a sentence with ‘and’ in some circumstances – and this is one of those circumstances!

March 19, 2013 at 9:03 pm #1259246I would like to express my confusion over the idea of making a nature reserve in a gigantic volcano…..logic? Also, why build settlements in an area prone to tornadoes? Why build settlements on an active fault line? And….why oh bloody why, is there a small village in Yorkshire called Willy. Yes, Willy…..

A Village called Willy, that fucking brilliant, imagine the fun the locals have, they get to write Willy on every application form ( jobs / credit cards etc ), anyone asks where it is, you get to reply ‘just north of bollocks, if you find yourself in a bush you’ve gone to far’ lol
Guess it has a downside too though, if they have a footy club I bet the website ‘Willy United’ gets some unwanted visitors looking for something totally different lol
Think I just found a better one though
Titcomb Coat of Arms and History
There was actually a Lord of Titcomb ( pronounced Titcum ) lol

From what I recall, the village has had to have its road/boarder marker removed as apparently ‘the elder community in the surrounding area found the name to offensive’ in later years, I think it was during the 1990’s, an itv show helped to fund (if you will) a new boarder marker, and to the itv sensor it was like a bad day in Bosnia…

Or who, for that matter, decided to name a rural village in Shetland after the female genitalia?

There are two of this place, one in the afore mentioned and one in the orkney isle too.

Apparently so, and they hold joint fourth place in a list of the most vulgar place names in Great Britain. I’d be interested to know which three towns have a ruder name than Twatt.
