Cool, I shall avoid this mount cionide (never herd of it anyways). I think I am in the middle of a desert so not sure theres much to do other than sea based stuff.
July 24, 2011 at 12:02 pm #1242447i’ve been to that shithole country, i nearly died out there. Save your mooney and go somewhere worthwhile like the dominican republic.
The pyramids are a fucking mess, theres litter everywhere and dirty camel owners that rob you.Do not go to that place, if you like severe food poisoning and disentery….by all mean go

I am not going anywhere near the pyramids really. The food poisoning issue is a slight worry but its a 4 star hotel with a good reputation for food so I think it should be fine. Egypt was the cheapest place to go all inclusive with sun and its already cost too much so had nothing to play with.
I take it you went and got food poisoning then mate?
July 24, 2011 at 5:06 pm #12424484 stars means nothing over there, i stayed at the mariot in the capital, got dihorrea from the food, food piosoning from the hotel food.
It don’t matter where you go in egypt, its ALL horrid, word of advice, dont carry money, the cunting shop/stall owners can’t smell it a mile off.How much you paying for you holiday?

A grand as its the worst time of year to go sadly as its the school holidays but cant go any other time. Trip advisor is worth looking at if you dont want to just go with star ratings, I certainly wouldn’t rely on them. There are no shops or stall owners where I am going so there’s no worrys there. Will just have to hope I dont get a stomach upset, no ice and salad etc
July 24, 2011 at 5:25 pm #1242439haven’t they only just had a civil war there (or are still halfway through it?) all that said, its probably no worse than GR or ES the way things are going in these nations.
I guess a good rule of thumb is when you see a fuckload of angry blokes shouting Allah-u-Akhbar and chucking things at a similar number of such blokes its best to get the fuck out of the way very quickly, irrespective of who looks like they have the upper hand or is wearing some sort of uniform.
The same advice applies to many parts of Aylesbury and Slough.

there are no travel warnings or anything, there is stuff happening but no where near where I am going. Greece would have been more risky in all honesty.
Makadi Bay, Egypt – Google Maps
thats a map of the bay I will be in, no where near anything lol

July 24, 2011 at 5:44 pm #1242441that looks more like it. There was a riot this weekend but it was a bit strange as apparently the rioters may not have got challenged by undercover feds/thugs but local shopkeepers who were pissed off that the protests/dissent is stopping their business and frightening away tourists. its safer and nicer than Great Yarmouth at any rate.
