I think the main thing is that you enjoy it and have an active interest in it… otherwise it’ll just become a chore in the second year, and you’ll probably resent having to put the hours in to get your grades (been there and done that)
You sound like a smart lad, chances are you’ll do well if you’re lucky enough to get in the right job either now or later.
Just out of interest what job would you take now?

🙂
i would like to either move into
shipping agencies, as its an easy starting spot with room to expand quickly as you can build up a loyal client base if you do a good job
web design / coding, because im good at it, kinda comes to me naturally, and u get paid a lot, and you dont particularly need qualifications, just to demonstrate your skills, but it doesnt really have room to move to other areas, and its going to be hard to find a job starting out in this in the current climate
management of something, because im good at delegating responsibility / picking strengths & weaknesses, etc. but obviously you cant exactly start out as a manager without experience.
generally something using a computer coz im good at that.
with manual labour, im either shit at it, or i cant use half the equipment coz im left handed.November 30, 2009 at 3:54 pm #1221082left hand ftw =D

for the win is what I have been lead to believe but I have long thought it is perhaps some kind of conspiracy

yup yup, it was the context that was hurting my brain, finally got a google result:
“Originated from the game show Hollywood Squares where the result of the player’s response is expected to win the game. Bob: Your 1up t-shirt rocks
Sally: 1up t-shirts ftw.”Hey, guess what? I’m not too busy at work today :weee:

christ on a bike – I thought this fiasco with “options” was supposed to get knocked on the head two decades ago, I still remember how I couldn’t do Computer Studies (as ICT was then callled) and German as well…
It was around 1987/1988, and the Austrian pop star Falco (RIP) was what convinced me to try and privately learn as much German as possible (its still not as good as my French).
Josh would probably find some of the things I was learning about highly amusing – these included punched cards, huge spools of paper tape and magnetic tape (like when you see computers in old movies), 8″ floppy disks were still in use, 5.25″ drives were new technology, most telephones still had dials and a 1200 bits per second modem was high speed!

not at all. neither has the push for academic subjects whilst people are snubbed by teachers for choosing creative arts subjects. particularly at GCSE level.
education reform acts 1988 fucked up the entire ethos of education

old head of sixth form = incapable of anything.
new head of sixth form = arrogant self obsessed idiot, but he can get stuff done at least, and he likes pink floyd.my dad did the whole punched cards job!

should have made myself clearer, this clash occured at GCSE / O level time. Any A-level standard IT course wasn’t offered at my high school in 1989…
