It does seem pretty 50/50
which sums up how I feel about it! In the right mood I here some dubstep tunes and think yeh it works really well, but then u cant dance to it (I tried at squat party last weekend and feel over lol) and it can get proper boring

dubstep is best listened to on a phat rig definatly! can sound pretty shit and pointless on crappy speakers.

its a very fine line between dubstep and garage unfortunately.. at glade it kept sneaking over into garage i noticed.. at one point during Ruskos set he played ‘do you really like it, is it really wicked’ and the tent cleared out :laugh_at:

i’m really glad i didnt go to see him then.
imo alot of the higher profile producers push the worst dubstep, the repetitive, every song the same, wobble shit.

Dubstep can be heavy, sexual, phat as hell, mellow, glitchy.. And the beat is close to the human heart rate so it’s comfortable to dance to – like electro.

i dont find dubstep possible to dance to

was at an event the other day & some came on, everyone just kinda stood there for a second, then disappeared. back with the jungle!

its always in da chillout room, and theres never any1 in da chillout room unless ya lost
