doh!thats quite fucked up TBH
especially as there are people who work in various environment/animal protection organisations who contribute to this board
I woudn’t have thought LSD could poision a horse but the mental effects could have overstressed its heart I suppose (it would have been frightened)
effectove drug doses for animals / humans are way differeremt
killing people’s pets doesn’t do the image of raves much good – did he even think of how much a horse costs, and how much pain the kid would have felt at its loss? No wonder the countryside lobby complain against free parties…
would he have done this to his mates pet dog (or another dog on a party site)? did he think “its OK because the horse belongs to a rich person / or a traveller?”
DO NOT GIVE DRUGS OF ANY SORT TO NON-HUMAN SPECIES UNLESS YOU ARE A QUALIFIED VETERINARY SURGEON; OR ARE ACTING ON THE INSTRUCTIONS OF ONE…..
May 5, 2005 at 9:33 am #1065502It upsets me (and pisses me right off!!!) when I hear about people giving drugs to animals. It’s just the same as spiking someone. But at least a human will have some sort of understaning of what is happening. Animals just get frightened and disturbed because they don’t understand what is occuring.
Your mate’s a dick.

agreedMay 5, 2005 at 3:45 pm #1065506ok, ok, for a start the `mate` i refered to is no more, he hung himself a year later. and i do agree that giving drugs to animals of any kind like that is wrong. and in my defence, it was 1989, i was just a 15yr old who was gettin way too fucked for my own good.
and for the record, my daughter now owns a horse (yes they are expensive, i worked fuckin hard to buy her it), and if someone harmed it in any way i would….
sorry if i offended anyone, had a bit much to drink and was remembering past times with a few friends. seemed like a good idea at the time, etc…May 5, 2005 at 4:05 pm #1065498fabricated wrote:sorry if i offended anyone, had a bit much to drink and was remembering past times with a few friends. seemed like a good idea at the time, etc…fair enough – apology accepted – he made this mistake and and paid the ultimate price it seems.. there is such a thing as karma….. (I’m not a sandal wearing veggie hippy – I eat meat, but its inexcusable poisoning a pet animal for fun)
there however are a lot of impressionable young kids on here (we get stacks of connections from schools/colleges) and I don’t want people getting the idea its OK to spike any species, human or otherwise…
Also too many of these “memories” I’ve seen on boards seem to involve injuries, deaths, bodily fluids, humiliation, dysfunctional relationships/one-night stands/violence and arrests etc….
I’d like to see some positive ones for a change…
May 5, 2005 at 4:22 pm #1065507ok gl, here is my own possitive one:
9yrs ago, i did dmt for the first time. thought i was in legoland, everything seemed plastic! until i got knocked over by a car. hospital in an ambulance, broken leg, cuts an bruises etc. anyway, there was this real fit nurse who was assigned to look after me coz i was on drugs. from what she tells me, i was pestering her for a date, and here we are 9yrs later married with a lovely daughter i cant imagine life without.to all the ageing ravers out there, keep goin till the zimmer frame gets delivered!
May 5, 2005 at 4:26 pm #1065508p.s. been livin in herts for a year now, findin it hard to get on the party scene… you know if the exodus crew are still goin? any others you could reccomend gl?

Its brilliant as well you are still together and with a family, lasting and loving relationships don’t actually happen much these days..
As for Exodus, they unfortunately folded due to internal politics and dogma. It got so bad that a rig they had got back from the cops previously because the ravers themselves protested outside the station (hundreds of them!) got put in a crusher later because they had made so many enemies and no other crews would support them.
There are however still parties in the area… http://www.kacchina.org is a good messageboard run by crew from Luton, and of course you can come to the Thames Valley where some parties still happen..
May 5, 2005 at 5:02 pm #1065509safe gl, thanks for the link!
sad news bout exodus, i remember some wicked parties we went to round luton hoo way yrs ago, in the woods, proper bizniz…
as for thames valley, me an the missus are gettin itchy feet for any good party, been doing the legal london club scene too much recently. get over bristol way often, but its tight over there too now. you heard of the t.o.s.s.e.r.s. crew? all the crews over that way seem to want to go legal….
doh!
and yes mate, it has been hard making my family work, but it does, and im proud of that 🙂May 5, 2005 at 7:13 pm #1065503fabricated wrote:ok, ok, for a start the `mate` i refered to is no more, he hung himself a year later. and i do agree that giving drugs to animals of any kind like that is wrong. and in my defence, it was 1989, i was just a 15yr old who was gettin way too fucked for my own good.

sorry if i offended anyone, had a bit much to drink and was remembering past times with a few friends. seemed like a good idea at the time, etc…Yeah I did think that after I posted. I realised that it was probably an immature mistake made by a not so straight headed mind.
It’s still fucked up though.
One from me: Turned psychic on acid once. I’d say what was behind walls as we were walking along and after looking over them we would find I was 100% correct. Quite bizzare at the time and i’m not sure if it was a trick of the mind or not.

and confusing
March 31, 2010 at 8:35 pm #1065511THE HORSE DIED =OOOOOOO oh my that is fucked up.
March 31, 2010 at 8:48 pm #1065500yep and the poor dude what owned it would have had to make a statement to the old bill, RSPCA and Defra (where I actually then worked). Then he’s got to pay for the dead nag to be securely disposed of as you can’t just bury it (precautions against disease)
March 31, 2010 at 8:52 pm #1065512they IV horses with 1.5 grams of Ketamine to knock em out, yet two acid trips killed this horse. sounds strange to me.
March 31, 2010 at 8:57 pm #1065501you’d need the vet report to be sure but it easily could have been an old or not 100% well horse and just had a heart attack!
I don’t know how much a vet charges for a horse checkup (never having owned one) but a cat is £35 so unfortunately not all owners regularly get their horse checked up. Also the bumpkins tend to offload their less healthy nags for family pets/casual riding, keeping the stronger ones for racing or draught work. So this one could have had any amount of existing unknown underlying problems…
there was a horse for sale in the pets corner section of my local free paper!
