depends what you are looking for, I still find a lot of good Trance out there but there are some artists like Ferry Corsten are starting to make House sounding Trance. Look at Tiesto he’s making a lot more House these days too.

then its a .mp3 file instead of a podcast, its easier to move around and it place its self into the trancefixion album…

the mix contains full track listings, your robot jingle is played out at least twice through it, and although 192k anyone with ears would prefer a better copy such as WAV. not sure how much you pay for music but its £2 for a WAV here, and the Dutch producers seem to ensure they aren’t clipped out like other genres whilst managing to squeeze 3dB extra of sound compared to Germany.

I have personally bought a number of tunes directly from listening to your mixes.

BTW whats the event scene like in Toronto? A Russian girl here is deciding whether to go to England or Canada as she has the choice of both but she is new and doesnt’ have security clearance yet for private messages. Plus its worth a forum response anyway for the rest of us. also does Canada refuse entry to folk with drugs cautions (infractions?) like the Yanks?

its the ‘finger-printing’ of tracks that some of the big record companies are using that have been in action. it looks like hulkshare have jumped on that track, probably under threat of giant law suits….another reason to support the underground and independent music scene to avoid the net as we know it is another page of history….Fuck’em, those dinosaurs…sony, universal etc. yes I am talking to you, you money grabbing arseholes, you do not think about the free flow for the artist do you? no its you own bloody deep pockets with no ends ….

what is strange though is the trance tunes are all licensed to small independent labels mostly based in the Netherlands – and I would expect the producers themselves are not going to contaminate their sound with a fingerprint of any sort for a piddling few euros. Not when I was looking for radio antenna circuits, and found 3 hams in NL all of whom were also trance DJs – they tend to merge the two hobbies because it makes you look out for and remove any sources of unwanted electromagnetic interference.

maybe one track is on a US label where a major is doing the distribution or they are just being overly paranoid.

as for Sony – if content isn’t turning a profit, they should just sell off that division and concentrate on making things so we can record or listen to/watch our audio and video, which to be fair they are good at. There is a Japanese concept of “having just enough” rather than being greedy and that was what the late Akio Morita was more attuned to.
