You could still use it with todays DAWs as its got full timecode sync. But if you are using euro-hubs instead of spools, you don’t want to accidentally drop your newly mastered track on the floor (or you will be spending the next 2 hours trying to carefully get the tape back on a hub or spool, nor catch your fingers on the winding tape (it cuts at that speed!)
