Harsh, but interesting nevertheless particularly for someone who has always lived fairly near the Thames.. watch your step if you are partying or drinking at places near the river-banks!

there’s nothing evil about the Thames apart from what we as humans contaminate it with; its just like any bit of nature it must be treated with respect.
80% of our drinking water in my area comes from the Thames btw

was perhaps a bit on the defensive as we always get people outside London/SE saying how filthy it is etc… 🙂
admittedly it can be spooky at night – particularly if you decide to cycle from Reading to High Wycombe at 0300 on a December night/morning beside the deserted Thames path… (was worth it in the end though as there was a party at the end of it)
good thing I can tell the calls of small animals and birds apart from ghosts 🙂
