August 18, 2006 at 2:45 am #1086656Yep, my hubby positively hates them!
What do you mean by style (sci fi, biography, etc or something else?)? Probably an easy question but I studied English litt (a looong time ago)after which everything got complicated…
August 18, 2006 at 2:59 am #1086622thats what i meant and i failed my english lit dismally as i didnt want to have my rerading complicated by it:wink:
should have seen the teacher’s face when he got my results:laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at:
August 18, 2006 at 3:05 am #1086657It does complicate stuff, too much analysis!
I like biographies in particular. Not sure why, I guess I’m just nosey. 😉 But I don’t think there is any particular type I don’t like. Books are nice!
August 18, 2006 at 3:07 am #1086623i like science fiction, fantasy and archaeology but i can be a serious book slut and just read whatever comes to hand – even dictionaries:you_crazy:you_crazy

If you like biographies Meep, have you read James Frey, million little peices? Brilliant!

Brilliant![/quote]Yep, it was brilliant but it has since come up that it is fiction rather than what he’s actually gone through. A real pity as I remember thinking ‘wow’ at the time. Perhaps it was too impressive to have been real. Pity though.

its by Nick Charles, who ended up a homeless alcoholic drinking meths, he managed to sober up and he went on to set up the Chaucer clinic and has an MBE for all his work, (I got it from Borders)
