Just got sacked after 3 months of work due to my CRB coming through with possession of K 3+ years ago.

Yeah it sucks, loved that job. Had shit loads of friends there, got a pretty good send off. Everyone seemed well upset and i made a pretty big impact on a lot of them. Some of my girl mates were trying not to cry…

In a College on Security (Hence an enhanced CRB check) was so good loads of fun everyday and i worked with quality people.

I was recently given redundancy notice but I’m seeing it as a kick up the arse to move on to something better.

My mates tawoc (age 18 drunk (taking away with out owners consent) on some ones row boat!!!! FFS) came back on her’s !! :laugh_at::laugh_at:

I think the thing is if you acknowledge it on application form your alright, in my experience of interviewing – you dont get to see it,
when short listing,
it is only at interview you get this sort of details – and then if they are the best person for the job and you dont employ em = you can be done against the reoffenders act.

I think it may depend on whether its a general crb, or enhanced?

I always thought cautions only lasted 4-5 years on your record though – I may be wrong,

If anyone knows the awnser to this for sure it would be good to know as I have a caution for criminal damage that I am hoping wont cause future problems.

I had a crb to do some work at a prison and passed that fine. i think the caution’s i had might of expired then though.
Managed to get a couple more since then though.

thats shit man it must be different over here cause ive gt a caution for an eight of weed nd lik 1 tab of cid nd when i went for my police interview they told me that with cautions you dont have to let employers know about it unless you get caught again and get an official criminal record

I seem to recall you can get offical cautions and just cautions and also there are CRB checkes and then extended CRB checkes. Perhaps that has something to do with it

somtimes if its not too serious and you tell the truth it may not cause any problems.. who knows though totally depends on job and the person reading the applications i guess..
