        both the UK and USA have some serious satellite monitoring of space and have done so since the Cold War – apparently quite a few objects like this are detected.

        Most burn up on entry into the atmosphere and pose little threat, but there are a number of near misses.

        I’m not fussed as long as it lands on the Yanks; albeit hopefully in a remote area where it will scare the shit out of them but not kill too many people..
