January 25, 2011 at 12:34 pm #1234923Give our boys some credit, they did deliver it to you 😉
January 25, 2011 at 7:12 pm #1234927Good point. It’s amazing they didn’t drop it out of the truck/lose/accidentally throw into reject/make clerical confusion and ask for shitloads of money. Well done!
January 25, 2011 at 7:35 pm #1234909AnonymousHi all ,
To be fair to Royal Mail they are not that bad , i have experienced far worse with BFPO ( British Forces Post ) . Just before i went down the Falklands with the armed forces , a army postie had to be sent back to the UK as he had dumped all the incoming mail in the sea as he couldn’t be asked to sort it .This is the days before email and internet and unless you wanted to pay £10 for a phone card of of Cable&Wireless which lasted maybe 3 minutes …..letter was your only contact with home . He was set home otherwise he probably would have end up beat up or worse .
Now when i worked abroad as a civilian for the MOD i have 8 parcels go missing . I even rang their WO ( warrant Officer ) in charge back in the UK at Mill Hill ( BFPO ) and he said prove it was us Royal Mail must have lost it . That was his attitude !!!! , i spoke to the Army Postie were i was and she said that theft went on all the time !!! . So i have no respect for Army Posties ….by the way as far as i know it is only the Army …..Light fingered gitts !!!
Regards
MungoJanuary 26, 2011 at 1:07 pm #1234918yeah delivery companies are pretty good.
what was the present? 🙂
January 30, 2011 at 10:14 pm #1234924TBH I dont know what everyones problem is with Royal Mail. I’ve lived in varoius parts of the country, and i order shit loads of records by post, and ive never had one go missing. True, the service is not what it used to be, but i still find it very reliable.
January 30, 2011 at 10:23 pm #1234911I’ve had stuff delayed but other than one parcel of bicycle spokes (during a strike) apparently lost by Royal Mail, though my suspicion is that the suppliers never sent them in the first place. In a lot of cases, companies are slack about getting stuff despatched on time and blame it on Royal Mail because they are using untracked services.
Royal Mail have a number of guaranteed services which are no worse than any other courier service in the UK, and if a business gets to know the collection times from their local sorting office and posts at the right time things usually get delivered next day. I work out in the sticks where badgers run loose in the streets and Royal Mail have no problem delivering..
January 30, 2011 at 10:58 pm #1234914Royal mail are decent.
January 30, 2011 at 11:43 pm #1234922citylink are the ones who need shooting!
January 31, 2011 at 12:20 pm #1234925DHL are a nightmare as well. I once posted a parcel with them, only for them to deliver it back to my house. they did this three times, and every time i phoned them to ask what was going on, they insisted that the parcel had been delievered to the correct address, despite it being sat on my desk in front of me whilst i was talking to them. Talk about banging your head against a brick wall
January 31, 2011 at 6:11 pm #1234919i like royal mail.
parcelforce on the other hand are fucking shite and the post office give me strange looks when i say i don’t want to use parcelforce when they’re trying to push me these ‘bargains’

February 3, 2011 at 2:07 am #1234912It’s a type of RC that’s illigal in the UK. 😉
February 3, 2011 at 2:30 am #1234910AnonymousDidn’t realise they were checking the post for RC. Was plannin to order some from CN. Any one know where I can find a list of which RC are legal in the UK?
February 3, 2011 at 3:01 am #1234913That was a joke btw. It’s a midi synthersizer/drum machine.
Here’s a list of the illigal ones – List of controlled drugs in the United Kingdom – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alltho I wouldn’t trust wiki to be 100% comprihensive!
It sais “MCAT” is any Cathotine and “MMCAT” is Mephedrone. I’ve never heard of “MMCAT” and only ever heard of “MCAT” being used to refer to mephedrone.

Josh sent one with parcelforce and they fucked it up…. If you googled MC-505 it wouldn’t have been too much of a mystery, Roland analogue grooveboxes/synths are very famous if you’re into EDM.

Just order it, if it’s only a few grams it’ll come fine. some people get 100’s of grams of illegals sent, pretty crazy IMO but it arrives.
