just thinking last night and was pondering on how the free party scene/ d+b/ junglist movement is far more relaxed and friendly then the “alternative scene” having been into metal and rock for years and years, i can speak with expierence when i say that people into metal and rock, espiecialy straightedge hardcore and emo, are so condisdending, patronising and a whole host of other verbal un-becommings. whilst i’ve always had respect for d&b/ jungle/ techno blah blah, i feel i’m quite a minority in the rock scene. from “our” general perspective, rave music in general is low talent, non-meaningful and full of people lookig to start fights and get fucked on drugs. CRAZYNESS!!!! also, the ego’s that go with rock and metal are abismal too…. espeicaly over the last couple of years with the introduction of more “elitest” bands.

again, simply to point out, this is all just my own personal opinion, but i think if most metalers, pat or present would really think hard about it, i think you’d find that there is quite a lot of truth in my ideas here…..

I have to disagree on this one. It’s not about this or that music. There’s people in scenes, and there’s music. If you discern between those two, then you there are condescending people just about everywhere, also in the party scene. I just listen to whatever music I like, and I couldn’t care less what other people might think of that. It’s your own choice, nobody else’s… Every now and then I listen to cheesy music, especially when my fridge can’t deliver 😉

Hmmmmmmm…. I feel like burning a church, better listen to some Viking metal and sublimate. Techno nor DnB could help me here :p
