Cats. They are less hard work and lead their own life. I think dogs are great too but too dumb and dependant for my liking.

Yeah you hear this alot, but you have to ask, what Is the measure of intelligence for an animal like these?

I mean alot of people say that cats are more intelligent than dogs, because they’re independent, although Im not sure this is what we should base Intelligence on.

After all, although not so much these days, dogs & cats have a very dissimilar evolution process. Dogs have evolved to be apart of a pack, to help each other out to fulfil their needs. Cats on the other hand are exceptional lone hunters, who hunt alone and generally dont rely on any other cats. In fact each cat has their own territory, just like a pack of dogs might.

In respect to all of the above Its fair to say each animal is close in their evolutionary life, except each has grown to be a successful creature in a different way.

So thats the animals defended lol. I think whatever people choose depends on their own personality, although they wouldn’t like to admit that choosing either or could say alot about them. What it says I dunno, this Is speculation on my part, I havent thought about it much. I think there’s too many variables why someone would choose either or though, making it too difficult to make any judgments on anyone.

Oh I like cats :bounce_fl But I like the Idea of a dog which could be more of a household companion. I get sick of trying to stroke me cat and it walking off all the time. Why the fuck did we buy you!

That is true. I suppose I just put it down to the fact that most domesticated dogs could not cope by themselves and rely on people to look after them. I’ve seen dogs who are pretty damn clever actually.

Thats one of the very reasons that makes me think cats are wicked. So yeah I suppose that says something about my personality.

I think maybe for some people cats are cooler, because of them being self-sufficient. A much respected human characteristic. Thats why I like cats anyway… Hehe.

You dont feed a dog, it dies. You dont feed a cat, and it goes off and hunts for food. And probably wouldn’t come back to you either. :laugh_at:
