My worst job was working as a cashier at Toys R Us… HATED it… always so busy on a Saturday, so many toys went through which the till didn’ recognise and I had to get up and run around the entire shop trying to find another one… ugh… then you had to ring up some number every time a cheque went through which made the customers arsey… then you got whiney old bags commented on the fact you have bright hair and a few piercings and saying you look like a miserable cunt (which was bad seeing as their were kids around listening)… really hated it =/

worst job – washing up person in a commercial kitchen: the pay and the hours were lousy

best job – [this one stumped me :laugh_at:] probably the 6 month contract when I was illustrating for an archaelogy book for sheer pleasure of the finished product [the pay was ok but nothing special]

worst job – working at a call centre trying to sell uPVC windows to people who really didnt want new windows!

best job – enjoying the job I have doing creative stuff for children at an ‘out of school’ club. I get to draw pictures and colour in all day!!

worst job: chicken farm, akin to the factory but they’re still alive . . . if that’s what you call it, lasted 3 days

best job: the one i’ve got now 😉

Worst job : anything the fuckers at Recruitment Ipswich gave me in college break, walking round a ploughed field in drizzle clearing spuds was a high light but previous to that, packing veg in a steel box in 90 degrees had its moments too…..

Best job : screwing plugs onto PSUs for dictafones, dead straight forward, paid by the piece, work from home, biftas with mates and loud music on the go all the time :love:

Worst job = Working as a welder at that factory down Barton Le Clay. Used to get coverd in oil and burnt arms in the summer.

Best Job = Teaching English in Thailand (I love it) I have started this Ebay selling and thats cool as well.:wink:

what is it with the chicken farms? i didnt know so many people here had, had the same shit as me! They really are horrible places to work. The bossy people you get there as well! I didnt eat chicken for about a year after i worked there. Didnt help that i lived next door to another chicken farm as well. Not a nice smell.

I was offered a job in a local chicken farm when I was expelled but luckily enough I got taken on by a local builder instead, shovelling rubble in the burning sun still seems a better bet :groucho:

id take that over the chicken factory anyday!

worst job – when i left school i was collecting eggs on chicken farm during the summer hols , the smell was foul espesh in the summer as the sheds are all painted black. having to get the dead birds out was also rank:yakk:

then working in the canteen at benard mathews was not much better , altho you did get free/half inched food+drinks:groucho:

best job to date prob spraying cars, involved traveling around east anglia with me boss repairing small dents scuffs chips etc. was really satisfying turning up seeing the state of the car then leaving with it looking neary new again.

amazing how poultry and the processing thereof features highly in the list of “worst jobs..”. I suppose free range farming of ducks and geese might be OK though (and any more of this weather and some parts of EA may as well become a paddy field..)

its always good to create something, there were times when I had installed a new system for a small TV station in foreign countries when I felt a sense of achievement and the customers were grateful…

I used to feel really good when i was a chef and i would cook for a wedding party and the food looked awesome and they loved it.

Best jobs i think are anyone that you feel satisfied with.
