I’m just wondering what people use for mixing software? And I would appreciate some recommendations… I use Virtual DJ at moment which is showing some annoying flaws with beat matching. I’ve also used Traktor a few times but I always go back to virtual DJM…
:weee:
What do other people recommend? Think is best etc…
my advise .. DON’T DO IT! … use decks like normal people… you take so much of the “live” performance out when you use shit like that … it has so much less skill involved … why not just make a program that you just line up tracks on and it mixes them for you .. soon you will be able to just put all your favorite tunes into one folder on your pc / lap top/mac … and let the computer mix them for you .. stand in the crowd .. and say .. hey i am the dj :hopeless:
I have no qualms with those who buy a proper controller and actually mix their lossless wav files. I do however disagree with those who use the autocue function to line up tons of downloadedshit quality mp3s.
Anyhow….Traktor is what you want. Pretty much industry standard. Also when saving for a controller then the vestax VCI100 would be my choice.
You’re not wrong there, i’ve bought some cd decks so that i can still mix but not have to buy tunes. Unfortunately tho some tunes are harder to get an mp3 for than they are on vinyl!
i’ve never used a controller with any, but as i haven’t had decks for a little while now i’ve tried a few programs. Traktor seems good, but some like Virtual DJ take all fun out of mixing. there is so little effort, you literally click 3 buttons then press go and your done. completely pointless IMO…
