the way i see it is that we haven’t even come close to knowing everything there is to know about this planet, we haven’t even scratched the surface of the universe. this leads me to believe that there’s gotta be something else out there.
as for ufo’s, they could be military projects, some crazy people with a lot of time on their hands or some otherworldly observers. i don’t agree with all the conspiracy coverup wackos as such, but i do keep a very open mind about these matters.
whats your views?January 29, 2008 at 4:25 pm #1153973Very similar to yours really.
Alot of people criticise a “believer”, calling them Idiots. But imo, I find it more idiotic for anyone to be that closed minded that they consider themselves and our planet to be the only form of intelligent life in the whole universe! With the absolutely billions of Solar Systems in our little Galaxy, and there is theoretically, unlimited Galaxy’s in the universe. Which almost guarantees life elsewhere, if you consider that unlimited amount of galaxy’s covers Every situation possible because of the infinite amounts of choice.
Anyway, these days I think more people believe in life elsewhere, because of our bigger knowledge of space (even though limited). I think most generalised attitudes are stemmed from people judging the crazy like UFO spotters… Maybe some have visited, but not half as many times as people have thought they have seen them imo.

January 29, 2008 at 4:45 pm #1153971I have to say i do believe in extraterrestrial life because if the universe is meant to be infinite then theoretically there could well be life in some form on a planet somewhere, but im not realy sure about whether we’ve been visited or not because of how long it would take to travel those massive distances, unless Hermann Weyl’s wormhole theorys were correct in which case we could of been visited i suppose…..neway “The Truth Is Out There”

While I certainly sympathize and relate to the matter of being called an “idiot” for holding particular beliefs, and am often lumped in with a a mass amount of total psychos that are dragging the ideas down… I still say this is a completely different matter.
The thing about aliens and what not, are they START as a “possibility” then we are fed with the fact that there is “huge possibility” due to the size of the galaxy. All of the sudden “possible” becomes “likely” and then from there it is promoted as a viable reason to believe. No evidence, just motivation. Not only that, but it would take reversing and ignoring MANY quantum physics rules that we currently hold and understand. And then call it a likely naturally occurring phenomena?
It takes more faith and fervor to believe in Aliens than it does Jesus walking on the water.

January 29, 2008 at 7:21 pm #1153972I beleive in exterterstrail life i mean they say such and such planet is inhospitalble for us humans doesn’t mean to say there aren’t beings out there that have also evolved and adapted does it.
they say that we know more about the moon suface than we do about whats at the bottom of our own oceans and god knows there are some funky creatures down there

January 29, 2008 at 8:47 pm #1153969Even though aliens are my biggest fear ever and i’d shit myself if E.T walked in wanting to make friends, i refuse to believe we’re the only lifeform.
People are saying recently that there’s caves on mars and ofcourse saying aliens are the cause and going as far to saying it’s an aliens frontdoor lol.
I believe they’re out there but not too sure if they’ve visited our planet before.
I sure as hell don’t want one to appear right now to lay it all to rest!!

January 29, 2008 at 9:04 pm #1153954There could be something out there, in fact i would say its quite likely…. the universe is a fucking huge place and I don’t think we are the only things that exist in it.
I don’t think UFO’s are anything extraterrestrial though, why does there have to be something, more intelligent than us? Something has to be the most intelligent thing, yes the human race are slightly retarded sometimes but it could be us..

January 29, 2008 at 9:28 pm #1153961Do i believe the UFOs are genuine et sitings? – Not sure
Do i believe in extra-terrestrial life? Of course!
Universe is absolutely unimaginably bloody enormous – IMO tis insanity/unbelievable arrogance to believe we are the only ones around

And in natural evolution, they would be more intelligent or at least more addapted to their environment then we our to ours.

January 30, 2008 at 1:17 am #1153953What. There could be another planet out there in one of the infinte solar systems that could harbour lifeforms?
Bit far fetched if you ask me.
😉

January 30, 2008 at 1:10 pm #1153958I’m a definate believer, didnt used to be but in the last year ive had a few experiences with ufo’s and completely converted me; and ive got close friends who’ve seen aliens. i believe extraterristrials have had contact with earth many many times.
My boyfriend was researching the 13 cyrstal skulls the other day and recons they’re linked to aliens, there’s the one that looks just like a ‘gray’ alien and the other one found in honduras that hp did research into that doesnt seem to be humanly possible to have been made by any tools or lazers, or human hand.
…mayan and aztek ‘sky gods’, or aliens?January 30, 2008 at 1:10 pm #1211039I’m a definate believer, didnt used to be but in the last year ive had a few experiences with ufo’s and completely converted me; and ive got close friends who’ve seen aliens. i believe extraterristrials have had contact with earth many many times.
