With larger EDM events now reduced to only certain cities / areas, what appears to be way less younger / new promoters (due to lack of venues and them not wanting to deal with paperwork/councils) and the economic depression putting off many from going out (travelling to a city isn’t cheap for those outside them!) – I wonder if this is what is really keeping interest in many electronic genres going especially outside city areas?

Also many EDM fans are older and have careers or families so can’t go out as much at weekends, if at all…

however most people still have broadband and some decent audio equipment either at home, in their vehicle or via a personal media player….
