          yeah it.ll be the more obvious choices .clash and the ramones and the pistols .it will bring back some good memories for me .i was 18 in 1976 when it all started .it was needed at the time because the music scene was really jaded .all that prog rock shite .filled up with speed and pogo,ing till we dropped .ha ha where have those 30 odd years gone since then .didn,t listen to much crass myself .they were well respected though .punk and rave music were the 2 most significant things to happen within the music scene in the last 30 years .i was lucky enough to live through both and love the 2 styles equally .do you lump jungle and drum and bass in with rave ??.if not those 2 syles were pretty significant as well .whats around the corner in the music scene now??.onwards and upwards crew .:wink:

              I think you’ll find that the whole outdoor party with DJs culture started in Jamaica way before the US cottoned on.

                  Look out for a book called Bass Culture – When Reggae Was King. It details the history of Jamaican music, starting in the early soundclash days, which were the very first outdoor soundy system parties.
