although colours weren’t quite as bright (this is maybe a East/SE Asian thing, they love bright colours out there) I remember girls dressed like that hanging around Reading station and the benches on Broad Street, there used to be these two fit Scottish birds called Strawberry Switchblade who were in the charts and dressed up in all the polka dot gear..
