Sorry for the hijack but….
This post is made for me today. My wife had a baby girl last night. Well pleased. We have two boys already, and while everyone was saying we must want a girl this time, we couldn’t even imagine a girl joining in the seeming chaos which passes for our day to day life. Anyway, so it came to pass last night. My boys were so exited this morning (after they’d stopped laughing at and jumping on me, having found me in a sleeping bag on the front room floor. (Mother-in-law had thieved our bed to look after boys). Took them to the hospital and the tenderness they showed towards our new family member was fantastic to see. The thoughts and emotions could be seen running around their heads, but I’m sure can’t be imagined by anyone on the outside.
My wife is well, Lucie was 7lb 5oz and is getting used to the open air in a chilled out way. I hope this continues.
