Yeh I currently have the only one in the UK in my fridge at work, along with fuckloads of spores.

The one I suggest has a liquid culture jar with it so intead of trying to germinate spores onto rye seeds or whatever you do it into the liqui culture jar. Once that is colonised (usually only a few days) you can keep it in the fridge for months and take bits of it out and use them to colonise your rye seed meaning you don’t have to woryy about spores actually germinating and it all colonises a lt quicker making it far less likely to get contaminated. Also everything is pre sterilised and you have proper injection points to save anything fucking up and the manufacturers usually offer a free exchange if the cake gets contaminated.
The mycomate one is the only one I’d really reccomend as its the only one that actually offers something other than just a tub and some sterilised ryeseed as liquid culture is the way forward for speeding up colonisation and making repeat grows (not flushes) easier.
