This isn’t my normal style of music but I’m working with a friend on some dub-step stuff as he likes it. This is my second or third attempt at dubstep and the fact I don’t really like dub step my self make’s this even more of a challange. I wanted peoples opinions as to weather i got anything missing from it. This is something I made last night and today and am gonna show my friend who likes dubstep (if it’s any good) to see if it’s the kind of dub step he wants to make.
no going to be nice to ya since i am a BIG dubstep fan.
Where was the drop? nothing kicks off a dubstep track without a massive drop to it, or 2 if you can fit a break down into it.
very repetative as most dubstep is but yet rather slow and rather trance like.
more wobble and the rest of the bassline needs to be improved.
hmm have to say i agree about the drop esp as you’re going for that type of dubstep (typical ‘wobble’ dance floor). personally more into burial-esque db which can pull off not having a massive drop but thats cos it has so many little builds and samples etc. Reckon you might need to shorten or add more to the intro. Needs progression??
its cool though and def got rythm just maybe need to focus on the structure.
It’s not suposed to be a tune … just a snippet of music … there is no structure at all to it. I was just looking for opinions on the body of sound there and if it would pass as dub step. 😉
Thanks for the feed back. (I’ve decided to never make dubstep again lol)
Kung fu fader is currently further progressing an amazing Acid DnB tune. He is good at producing and he knows that this production is a pile of poo he just wanted some help just cos our mate is being a pussy and only wants to produce gaystep 😀
