The whole forum just turned orange right infront of my eyes … WTF (i’m sure i didn’t take any acid this morning lol)
O.o
March 3, 2012 at 12:06 pm #1251348NVM fixed it … it just auto turned to the “back to basics” theme … phew that was a bit of a shock then.
March 3, 2012 at 12:11 pm #1251349mby we’ve all take e-cid … some kinda online version of acid what makes everything change colors 😀
March 3, 2012 at 12:11 pm #1251343I noticed my profile had gone a strange colour but assumed it was some maintenance/upgrade. I think Dr B is putting on a theme with more contrast for those who don’t have high contrast monitors or are looking on smaller computers/mobile devices.
For various reasons Dr B only gets a limited time window to work on these things – also when you get a forum theme all the colours are set to predefined values. This forum uses custom code so changing them isnt’ as simple as it seems and random stuff like this happens.

Yeah I thought it might be the doc’s doing, just made me jump when i refreshed the page and the entire screen turned orange lol.
March 3, 2012 at 12:59 pm #1251344wow what Dr B has done is really impressive as he’s already balanced the contrast on this new theme so it doesn’t look too garish on the LED monitors yet should be good on older kit (will try it out later)
March 3, 2012 at 1:55 pm #1251340The missing buttons in the editor should be fixed now. You also now have a choice of theme. At the moment I’m liking the new (back 2 basics) over the old and I’d like to make it the default but I’m happy to put it to a vote. The Mobile Style (not tapatalk) should also work now…
March 3, 2012 at 1:59 pm #1251351It does look really nice actualy, alltho I don’t like staring at reds/oranges/ for too long so will stick with the more calm green theam, personaly I not mind if oranges is default, as long as the green option is still avalible.
March 3, 2012 at 2:19 pm #1251352If I vote for back to basics and it wins, does that mean we loose the green theme totally?
March 3, 2012 at 2:28 pm #1251353`I’m holding my vote till I’m sure cos I don’t wanna shoot my self in the foot and vote orange and then have green taken away :laugh_at:

I liking the back 2 basics too but there is on little glitch in the forums page, it can be pulled from side to side, even when I try to make my browser window bigger it wont go away, besides from that it looks damn good 🙂
March 4, 2012 at 12:58 am #1251366IDK which is this one? Because the one when I signed up was awful. This one is cool.
I’ve just joined though so don’t listen to me yet – I’m supposed to be an IT guy who can’t even recognise the [username] parameter in a topic and fail to get it until you’ve embarrassed yourself with several posts and already panic renamed to realise as soon as you’ve done it that it can’t be coincidence then it clicks… and you can’t discretely change back for seven days. Clever.
March 4, 2012 at 5:54 am #1251357the new style is bad ass
March 4, 2012 at 9:13 am #1251342No reason really. 🙂

aww man that’s a wkd idea!
March 4, 2012 at 5:42 pm #1251360I don’t like the colour red…..I like purple
March 5, 2012 at 6:21 am #1251346I oppose the name clockwork orange I think it should be ‘syndicate’ as the ‘red and black’ points to the colour of the syndicalist movement
Red symbolise ‘labour’ and Black ‘anarchism’ > freedom, all in all we could say ‘we work for a better and stronger party-movement(like a party ‘syndicate’) behind a banner of freedom’, just a thought like
Discuss :toxic:
