May 18, 2006 at 5:51 pm #1073306Incidentally has anyone (particularly from round here) seen that new councillor in Norwich?
Head of the Greens apparently and he’s only 24 or so, I reckon people should lobby him about certain “licensing issues” 😉

it’s pretty hard to be representative of everybody, but I reckon I could earn some trust
I don’t have any illusions that as a single voice I could change much, but I’d like the opportunity to shake things up a bit
and with Exeter becoming a unitary authority in the next 3 years, perhaps now is the timeto start making those noises
watch this space
Yeah man, nice to hear other people having similar thoughts!

April 8, 2010 at 6:23 pm #1073336I know the author of the Ravers Manifesto personally and it was not written in the USA, UK actually, it was and is copyrighted, and registered with copyrightdeposit.com, when it was originally put on a website it had the authors name and the copyright symbol and year of creation. Posting it here is in direct violation of copyrights, and also plagarism, who do I contact about this. anyone know??
I can be contacted by PM message on this site.April 8, 2010 at 6:33 pm #1073307whoever owns the copyright is perfectly within their rights to email submit@partyvibe.com with proof and it will be removed. That said, given the presumed intention of writing it in the first place, I do find the copyright claim slightly ironic… its been all over the bloody internet for about 12 years too if not more!
April 8, 2010 at 6:36 pm #1073337I shall pass on the address in above email and the owner will contact yourselves with the necessary proof of copyright and creation. it was written in 2001.
April 8, 2010 at 6:43 pm #1073338Any written piece of any tangible nature is copyrighted as are indeed emails please do not become hostile I know the author and she wouldnt want to prosecute anyone, it is however not this way with all writers of creative art.
April 8, 2010 at 6:48 pm #1073308I’m not trying to be hostile, just that the term “manifesto” implies something that people would want to be publicised (such as our own countries political parties manifestos for the up and coming election!) Yes the young American lad should have included the byline but maybe there wasn’t one where he found it! he himself appears to have grown older and given up partying so I can’t even ask him where it came from!
it is quoted here

and here as well
Ravers Manifesto by ~ravers on deviantART
also minus any attribution to the author – and and I would guess a fair few other places.. good luck finding the rest!
April 8, 2010 at 7:15 pm #1073334Never seen this thread before. Nice sentiments but it is a tad cheesy ain’t it?
April 9, 2010 at 5:21 pm #1073311Our politics of choice is none
Our weapon of choice is information…but don’t tell anyone as I have copyrighted these words and if you don’t ask my permission to pass on the PLUR to other ravers I’ll sue yo ass.
