I really want to try out the more underground side of the city, where shoes are replaced with trainers, guestlist entry is replaced by climbing over a wall, alcohol is replaced by ecstacy, and snobiness is replaced with people who know how to have a fucking good time!
Im sick of the normal club scene. Recently there was an 1000+ illegal rave just minutes from my house, but i wasnt in town and i was gutted because i would have checked it out!
I just want to know how i can get into this scene, if its still around and just to go to a more underground place or rave!?
Please help fellow londoners, the types of places i go to with friends really are drilling through my brain with boredom.

The one near me was in a factory literally 5 minutes walk from my house, everyone could hear it and that police busted it, but couldnt chuck anyone out legally. Gutted i couldnt check it out.

March 2, 2012 at 1:48 pm #1251219also (depending on your own ethnicity and it works both ways) its easy enough for these charges to be bumped up to racially aggravated.
Future employers forgive stuff like dabbling in drugs – they do not like to employ thugs or racists though, and rehabilitation of offenders doesn’t mean shit when local newspapers archive crime reports for decades or more. its the sort of stupid thing that makes youths lose out on jobs at my work because they had “one moment of madness”.
a fit young person can ride a bicycle from London to any of the surrounding areas within 2 hours (I was doing this recently when I was well into my 30s)

TBH a fair few people do in London, though it tends to be folk what know the crews and thus have somewhere safe to stash them. I’ve seen bikes at squat raves and they are not your bog standard push bike straight out of the box from Evans etc, they are the sort carefully modded by folk what regularly ride to and from work or everyone else.
London and SE England are densely populated but geographically small areas,in comparison with Suffolk or Yorkshire. Have a good look at a decent map from above and you will soon see.

True, its not as crazy as it first sounded. I remember riding for about that long during my early teen years, shame my bike is completely fucked up.
Not sure if riding that thing would do my back any good either, its a mountain bike but it would look like a BMX in size if i rode it now! 😛
March 3, 2012 at 5:40 am #1251230A good way to get yerself to free parties is to attend a few legal nights, and be chatty, you’re bound to find someone who knows something 🙂
March 3, 2012 at 8:03 pm #1251236I got stupid lucky when I came here, met a guy through Facebook of all places on a game we played together, got chatting had a lot in common and bang was going to cool nights every few months.
Then the selfish bas**rd decided to move to Sardinia, where the music is great, the drink and food are awesome, the mood is phenomenal, but the drugs are bloody awful, and tbh, I didn’t go often enough to have regular contact with anyone other than him as didn’t need to. Poor planning on my part haha!
I would say hi welcome but that would seem rich given I myself joined the site about 9 hours ago after spending my night/morning prowling the boards whilst trying to take the edge off my “night”… but hi welcome and there’s plenty in London once you get to know a few folk 🙂
