March 31, 2008 at 12:46 am #1158992haha i was really drunk when i wrote that, so it did sound a bit of a sob story :laugh_at: its true tho but i’m still not too bad
thing is college travel n food takes a massive chunk out… cos i iive out in sticks about 15 mile away, the buses are stupid, i have to get a lift to a particular town each mornin and then the buses only go into the centre of york, so i then get another bus to the outskirts, it adds up
but the really annoyin thing is one bus is first company and one east ridin of yorkshire, so monthly passes etc. arent compatible
its a bugger i’m in debt to mates which i hate, i always feel really bad bein a freeloader on nights out too
in terms of an office jon nah GL ur right it sounds like i’d get frustrated, i was one of them people who hated exams because i had to be sat still for any length of time, i’d get all weird, like when i’m thinkin i like to walk about so i was shit at them!
what i really wanna do is be a youth worker, unfortunately at college the social work courses are all for child care (2-10) or adult disabilities, nothin really for the 12-19 bracket, but i suppose you cant be a youth worker to another 17 year old at 17 really
short term solution is the job at sainsburys. college 7-6 (inc travel) everyday then sainsburys 6.30-9.30 on monday and wednesday night, all day tuesday… then thursday and friday night and all day sunday at the pub
if i work it out right that should bring in about £135 a week, dependin on pub business, its crap lately
that sounds gooood

but they didn’t have half the rules in the 1980s
I remember when some of the lads dropped their hash on the floor (this was when a small chunk of hash was hard to get) so there was people scrabbling about on the floor, searching for this..
I actually found it – handed it back to the lads and just said “don’t be blatant” (so the older woman what worked for the council didn’t notice), “and make sure I get a toke” (I did :laugh_at:))
mind you thats probably why they don’t let the same age group act as youth workers (I expect today this would be classed as corruption and you’d get arrested)
