Station updates 05.2017
As it happens quite a few changes to our service have taken place this last month both in front and behind the scenes. However the following we’re most notable.
1. iFrame Radio Player Updated
Long overdue we finally migrated our iframe Adobe Flash and Javascript based internet radio player to HTML5 and Javascript, dropping support for Flash which is increasingly poorly supported. And started delivering it over HTTPS instead, allowing web site owners who serve their pages over HTTPS to embed it without error messages being generated. Both happened behind the scenes and should have been completely transparent to anyone using our player code, meaning no changes were required.
2. Playlists Refreshed
Significant updates to our reggae, electronic and drum n’ bass station playlists also took place. A big thank you to everyone out there who submitted any of the many music promos which were included in these updates.
3. Site Wide Radio Player Disabled
We stopped using the site wide internet radio player which has been a feature of our web site for some time now. Although from a practical perspective it was really great for users to be able to enjoy our broadcasts freely while browsing. It was causing problems with pages loads taking a very long time and some web browsers freezing temporarily. So great as it was, it just had to be turned off.
4. Individual Radio Station Player Pages Created
And having disabled the site wide player it seemed necessary to create individual web pages for each of our internet radio streams, which was done. Links to which you will find under the Listen menu item above and below every page.
Enjoy!
Can you remove the “This is Mekayla” voice that starts when I play PartyVibe? LOL I don’t need to be reminded of your name every time I want to listen to your stations.
But they’re good stations, I like the 320 KBPS.
