Tough as old boots. I have dropped them plenty of times. The design and weight of them means they just kinda bounce. For these to snap you’d have to drop them off the empire state building and I’d still be suprised if they broke to be honest.
Heavy things: They live in my record box when I play out and it gets lugged and chucked about. So 80 odd records is a fair old test weight to show that they are fairly indestructable. Many people say they are flimsy but that’s what makes them so resiliant to damage if that makes sense. They are a bit like those bendy glasses you see advertised on TV.

Never used them. The only downside I can see immediately would be the constant purchase of batteries I suppose. Not too fun when you have to replace them each week before you play out. Or they run out of power half way through a set and you forgot to pick up some spares.
