Hi everyone, I’ve been on here a few times recently so thought I would say Hello!
I’m a settled down family man now, but used to go clubbing a fair bit in the late 90’s early 2000’s in the Leicester area (regular at Passion, Forbiden down Lee Circle and Rosies down Churchgate when they was all banging out hard house!!!).
Big dance music fan, I also trade in rare vinyl so give me a shout if you have any tune questions or are after anything. Also a bit of a bedroom DJ and budding techno producer.
:weee:
Leicester UK, great site and forum. Hoping to link up with some free paries in the Leicester area soon :weee:

at the same time there is less money on the dance music scene – so lots of tunes are being pressed on recycled vinyl…
Sadly I expect market forces will eventually win and unless people become willing to pay £10 per 12″ then CD’s and digital will eventually take over..
I dont really buy much vinyl nowadays but when I used to buy Jungle back in the mid 90’s it was a surprise if a piece of vinyl was heavy and flat and well pressed. And Jack Trax in the 80’s were notorious for there poor quality vinyl. I never minded – adds a bit of charcter.:groucho:
I do think that the emergence of Serato and the like are really pushing vinyl fans to the limit tho. I’ve started putting a lot of vinyl onto mp3…

As for my fave tracks, so many….
but I would go for Voodoo Ray (A Guy Called Gerlad), Acid Tracks (Phuture) and Fingers Inc (Can You Feel It – the Martin Luther King version).
