For earbuds, I’m a Shure man. For closed back, I like Sennheiser.

But

For recommeding a ~£10-15 pair of earbuds, I always suggest the JBL reference 220. I’ve bought five pairs for various friends. Always under £15 new on ebay.

A speaker is effectively a diaphragm designed to pump air, so yes, it is completely normal to feel air pressure around the cone.

Nice choice, by the way. B&W speakers are fantastic.
