i live in manchester as well, and tbh i’m not a big fan of the parties within the ring road. sayin that i’ve not been to one for a year or so, but the ones i went to were full of 17 year old emo kids gagging for a riot.

since the nature of these boards have changed over the last two years, pv and sj especially.

where they used to be more of a resource for finding out about parties and have now become pretty much a discusion area about parties.

i reckon it would be nice, if not productive, to have some input from the police on here. Whether we like it or not they are as much a part of the free party scene as a lot of things, and a think a bit of communication betweeen the two groups would help a lot of problems.

they certainly did, i got there around 12 and the area was completely surrounded. there were helicopters, riot vans, undrecover cops dressed a bit like ravers.

from what i can gather they just let a dog loose in the party which gave someone a bit of a mauling.

the combined forces of a few jumped up ravers causing shit and a lot more jumped up coppers gagging for a bit of trouble ended up in a near riot.
