I was thinking about the current hostilities in the middle east last night (and the ammount of violent shit everywhere else too).
It seems the only way of explaining it is in terms of Leary’s 8 circuit model of consciousness, basically most of the world is still stuck on the second emotional-territorial circuit most of the time, indeed leaders will even appeal to that circuit to get support for things like going to war.I do despair sometimes, for about a minute and then realise how bloody lucky i am to have been born where i was and be as open minded as i am.
BTW, if you not read it, a good intro the the 8 circuit model of consciousness is Prometheus Rising by the great R. A. Wilson.

Yes i read about the Czech festival, it could be but i thought he said it was this weekend just gone and that he had to pay for a ticket (quite cheap though) so it wouldn’t be a free festival.
I’m doing electronic engineering, just finished the second year.
I’ve been into electronics ever since as a nipper i tried to remove a mains plug from a socket by sliding a knife behind it and leavering, there was a loud bang and i got thrown across the room.
I also used to like taking TV’s and radio’s to bits, much to my parents annoyance, “why do you learn to put them back together?”, well i did and now i’m learning how to design the damn things too.
