the speakers on that telly aren’t the best either for music, I don’t spend that much time downstairs or I would put in a better audio setup and I would want to split audio and video distribution anyway…

afaik internal spdif has to be connected to the gfx card. not sure laptops even have this possability.

I think it’s more designed for HD box to TV etc.
