I got sent this via Community Media Association – might be of interest to some on here…

      Dear Colleagues

Middlesex University is conducting research into unlicensed ‘pirate’ radio broadcasting and I write to ask if you would be willing to participate in the research by completing an online survey.

The research has been commissioned by Ofcom but is being carried out by independent researchers in Middlesex University’s School of Law. The focus of the research is to examine the reasons for continued unlicensed radio broadcasting, the motivations of consumers in listening to unlicensed radio and to examine attitudes to unlicensed radio.

Our reporting on this project will also be anonymous so that any comments or views contained in our final reports are not attributed to an identifiable individual.

We have an online audience/consumer survey associated with the research. This can be found at:

Feel free to circulate this to interested parties.

      Regards
