does the message still come up on the forum with birthdays or do people have to remember them? Another smart Dutch idea (which seems bizzare until you think about it rationally) is hanging up a birthday calendar in the toilet (often combined with a toilet roll holder) as that way people do not forget their friends/families birthdays (we all need to go at least 2-5 times per day..)
