First things first, I couldn’t take the username Jolly for some reason, And Looking at the forum introduction someone already beat me too Jolly89!?
Well my names *Not telling ya!” and the surnames in the title. hense the username!Been to a handful of private parties in my time and there is no other experiance like it.
I Try to catch a couple of localfestivals every year but catch Knockengorroch or Eden Festival more than any other.
My birthday has just passed inwhich I hosted a small private forest party with all kinds of characters and things going about.Joined the forum to try and attend as many free partys as I can before I shoot oversea’s in a new careers. A mid life crisis we’ll call it. 😛
April 18, 2012 at 2:35 pm #1252645Jolly appears to be quite a common Celtic surname and we attract many folk from Wales/Scotland. Since a rise in tolerance/free speech of the late 90s younger folk are less wary of using their full names even on forums discussing controversial activity, so common names are taken quickly.
its a long shot, but I wonder if you have an older relative (in his 70s) who is really into stuff like collecting old telecoms equipment used in rural areas of Britain? There is a well known and very knowledgable chap who shares that surname.
in my bit of England there was a bit in the youth magazine about a “quarter life crisis”. it seems too many people fall down a rabbit hole of growing up too quick, becoming parents and tied to careers/mortgages as young as their mid 20s. Fair enough if thats your free choice but be careful not to “grow up too quickly”!
April 18, 2012 at 2:58 pm #1252650Wow, That’s some reply. Had to read over this a few times to be honest, I’m trying and grasp what it is your trying to tell me.
I feel as though I should edit my original post so my full name isn’t shared with the planet!! Logical argument but I felt after reading past topics on the forum containing “Jolly” I had to give a more personal introduction! Due to the last person being being an apparent copper!April 18, 2012 at 4:13 pm #1252649General Lighting, your always so polite, heres a cookie!
Welcome to the forums buddy! Enjoy 😀April 19, 2012 at 6:38 am #1252647Yes, welcome to PartyVibe!

Due to the last person being being an apparent copper!Nothing to worry about. just that there is a OM(*) who shares your surname (he is a good guy) and is really into collecting old telephone kit what used to be used in Scotland and Wales in far away places (and thus had interesting technical features). it wouldn’t be odd for him to have younger grandsons or grandnephews still living in Scotland!
I assume from your post and location you are planning to perhaps work on oil rig or maybe merchant navy which is cool as we need young folk to do these kinds of essential things. So being on here shouldn’t cause you excessive problems, if you ever get asked just be honest. You will need to pass all fitness/drugs tests but you come across as smart enough to know that and British companies tend to judge you on current performance and honesty/integrity rather than your past.
(*) = old man, a term that chaps who work in telecommunications and radio (or are interested in such as a hobby) use to refer to each other. it does not matter if you are 25 or 85 and is meant well, that you are no longer an apprentice or youth in training.
