Fraid I gotta say I loved the wire mate! Wire sopranos and breaking bad are my top 3 tele shows!!!

But I’m going on holliday next week so that books on my wishlist for amazon now 😀
I’ll check it out!

I liked it to, but the book Clockers is better. Think the bloke who wrote it worked on The Wire too.

Didn’t get past season 1 though, its a lot of hours of telli to get through all the seasons!

if you like reading and not watching tv, you can skip the show (which is amazing) and just read Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets, which David Simon (The Wire’s creator) wrote back when he was a newspaper reporter. It’s ace.

if you like those kind of books, I’d also recommend Homicide Special, which is about the LAPD’s elite homicide-solving team

I really enjoyed the wire. TV doesn’t produce much worth watching these days but that shone! The americans are pretty good at their dramas.
