Nah I used to have a crack on the decks when I had some but since they’ve gone I don’t bother any more.

personally I reckon having DJ (even if you are a DJ) constricts you and gives you a certain label.

But thats personal prefrence 🙂

I don’t really like it. I cringe when people put Dj Totem on a flyer when I play out but it doesn’t really bother me if other people like to use the dj prefix.

One of my email accounts is djtotem but that’s because some other totem had totem. The bugger.

There was a guy from my old record shop called Junior who used to DJ drum and bass down in brighton (this was when i was living in crawley w/sussex going to college). He was DJing on the local pirate radio station and when asked what he wanted as his DJ name on the flyer he said “oh just Junior please” so on the flyer it had “Just Junior” :laugh_at:
A simila thing happened to me when my mate highered Shabba for her B-day. I was DJing and Shabba asked what my name was when we were just chatting b4 our set and i was like “I’m Josh” (not realising he ment my DJ name)… for the whole hour set he kept going “Big up DJ Josh” and shit like that …Cringe! :hopeless:
