AS i said in the other thread ive tried this for the first time the last few days completed my course today so good! cant belive ive only just tried it. its like a another world when your down there properly alien and v.psychadelic! such crazy designs and patterns and colours everywhere! went 18m down today for two dives and its so mad when you look up to see the surface of rthe water, such a strange feeling knowing you below the outside world, but you sort of feel like your above looking down as well.

also saw a frog fish, v.rare apparently, proper ugly too and itsgot sort of legs!

yeah mate, diving is the shit. my fav spot is the red sea, like a fuckin fish tank. sharm is just insane.

Good on ya Dionysus!! I’d love to give it a bash – you’re now qualified for the rest of your life right? None of that ‘retaking the course’ every few years bollocks. You recommend Thailand then. Can I be cheeky and ask what the prices were like?

if its PADI, you need to dive once every 6 months to just be able to dive when you want, otherwise you need to take a 1 day refresher course just to go over all the basics (you can do it before you go on holiday at a local dive centre to save from wasting a day of your holiday)

nah im in indonesia at the moment an island called lombok, not got much time now but just found a place with wifi so will prob come and write more tomo…

take it easy!

ps prices for open water course 3¨-4 days s 395 dolla

going to bali in next week then jakarta and back to bali then back to lombok for friends wedding….

If you’re heading to he National Monument in Jakarta try and go on a weekday when there’s loads of children [hmmm, this post sounds dodgy already]

You will get mobbed! You won’t see much of the monument cos people will be asking every 2 minutes to have their photo taken with you – all cos you’re a white dude, ha!
