April 11, 2009 at 12:32 am #1196680random fact – the dude what produced Knightmare now runs EPIC (the old Anglia TV studios) where Knightmare was made. In the late 90s I nearly ended up applying for a job with Rapture (also then operating from those studios) but the telly industry went tits up at the end of the 90s and everything got downsized..
April 11, 2009 at 8:13 am #1196683Me and my mates applied to go on Nightmare.
We got called for an audition, were on a shortlist, but unfortunately never actually got called to participate 😥
We would ahve rocked at it too!!
April 11, 2009 at 8:25 am #1196689I would say ‘Bring back Knightmare!’ however I don’t think I really want them to because I know they’d just ruin it.

Knightmare was pitched at age 12-15 (along with stuff like Round the Bend, Glibert’s Fridge etc) so it would have to be dumbed down if made today. Anyway ITV replaced the “older kids” shows with foreign soap operas (mostly Australian but some USA) as they were cheap to import :hopeless:

wide awake club TX’d from 1984 to 1989
then re-born as wacaday from 1990-1992 (until TV-am lost their license)
MTV Europe now use those studios (or at least they did in 2000) – I think the eggs are still on the roof :laugh_at:.
Anyone remember Ray Cokes?
