Partying this weekend, it can’t come fast enough <3 woo!July 22, 2008 at 2:08 pm #1176512It’s been a quiet summer for us, we’re paying off the wedding and a month in Goa from last year. Still it’s nice to see the sunshine, I start my new job Monday and in less than three weeks I’ll be drinking wine and soaking up the sun in the South of France. Life is pretty sweet.

No more commuting into zone 1, no more nasty corporate suits, no more boring hair, no more lying about what I did at the weekend. :bounce_fl
🙁 It sucks to not be able to get away. *hugs* I hope every weekend is like a mini holiday for you this year.

Partying this weekend, it can’t come fast enough <3 woo!Nice, not heard of Bugjam festival before. S’it all about? I was at Beat-Herder festival beginning of the month then commercialised it up at T in the Park the weekend after ( Lineup was too good to miss IMO). Sun was shining for TitP, wish I could say the same about Beat-Herder.
And yeh, bring on the sun
July 22, 2008 at 3:19 pm #1176511Ugh, I can’t afford to go anywhere now … I was meant to be going Amsterdam with my twin .. but she’s fucked off and taking her girlfriend with her now … I might just go down to London or sumat for a couple days with a friend or something. But it’s not been that sunny up here! 🙁 A couple days, but not many.
However, I’ve been out quite a lot at the mo … Liking the warm weather .. (When it eventually comes!)July 22, 2008 at 7:36 pm #1176494got a few mates either at the county border and coastal areas I can spend time with, but the weather hasn’t been that warm this year (although TBH I think we have been spoilt by previous good weather from 2001-2006, and the temperatures are just normal for this country.)

I’m a good worker, It shouldn’t matter what colour my hair is. I’ve been here for years doing an explemplary job I realise I wouldn’t have got the job with blue hair but if I dyed it blue now why is that such a big deal. I hate crap like that. I can’t wait to leave and be me.

S’it all about?Bugjam is the best VW fest that there is. Takes place in July at Santa Pod in Northants…loadsa dubs, bugs, campers, crazy bikes etc, and anywhere up to 10,000 nutters. They have a rave tent which was OK this year – Dougal ruffed it up pretty good. Me and the gang have been going for ten years plus – this year we didn’t bother with the soudn system but we have proper rocked it in the past.
Any others on here go? If not – do it next year!!

Been once (I think it was 2000) and had a good time, although the music tents were pretty rubbish.
Definitely good for people in to V-dubs, especially bugs obviously.
How did you get on with taking your soundsystem? It seemed that the year we were there they were pretty strict on noise and everything was getting shut down.
July 23, 2008 at 12:34 pm #1176497We have in the past split the bits up so that they do not get stopped at the gate…or just been super subtle with loading it up.
We have had run-ins with security – usually around about four o’clock!!
Sometimes we have been still going at 9am and sometimes we stop when they want us to…
All depends on how many punters there are hanging around, where we are on the site and what other things have been pissing the security off by the time they come round!!
The music tents have been truly appaling some years, but on the whole, there is usually something well worth it – from Chas n Dave to Killa Kella to Prodigy in the days before I used to go…although some of our gang have been going since about 92
July 23, 2008 at 1:02 pm #1176499best summer ive had in ages. been to loads of wicked parties, 2 festivals, met loads of new friends from all the place. got two more fests to look forward to and hopefully loads more parties.
