my friend has just told me that 3 guys set on him in a pub, and 2 held his arms while other one hit him hard in the face, anyways he broke free and he defended himself and fought back.
But when the police arrived my mate was arrested and then 2 coppers beat him up in the back of the police car an his face is like swollen up like a balloon…anyways he spent 5 hours in police cell and £80 fine for drunk and disorderly…:hopeless:

That sounds awful

Is he going to report the police for the attack?
it may not get anywhere but atleast it might make him feel he has ‘stood up to them’,
you never know they may be ‘known’ for this sort of thing and he may get taken seriosly?

this happened to someone i knew in brum. Has he taken photos of the injuries or been to the docter? does he know the numbers of the police that did it and the one that advised him to take it further?
they guy i knew got the police to court after ages, i never found out the outcome though as i moved away.
i dont know how they actually get away with this type of shit!:you_crazy

same thing happened to my brother in law. he took ’em to court and got a nice compensation settlement that set him up in business. bad at the time, but might have a positive turn out?!…

i got punched in the face by a copper once .. it was kinda my faulght ..but i wasn’t being violent to him so it was a bit over the top ..

It is a bit of a nightmare but worth it. Take photo’s visit the doctor and play it up as much as possible, cctv tapes from police cells. The sooner you do all this the better.
It takes time but believe me it is worth it.
People should do this for themselves, coppers need to know they are not above the law and it can be a fairly heafty pay out several grand. The coppers can be sacked aswell.
It also might save some else a beating and possibly death! I know someone who after being nicked for DD ended up dead in a polce cell.
I had both my arms brocken by some over the top coppers. My hands were cuffed behind my back and they claimed i was resisting arrest. It was just an excuse to give me a kicking, but three years later i was smiling as i walked out of court with a fat cheque and some very pissed off north yorkshire police.
Saying all that expect lots of hassel if you do sue them as the police will stick together!
