i was forsed into buyin the newmarks!!!!!!!

yeah my m8 has nemarks vinals ..there not too bad … but mine are better (vestax) :laugh_at: ..shame one of them randomly goes backwards about every 5 minits and the other one only has two legs :laugh_at:

i got the old 1210 mk2s but just got newmark cd rack mounts to mess with got em 4 £50

When i was looking for my first cd decks i did quite a lot of research, asking people and internet generally …

i basically wouldnt spend less than £200-£250 on a single deck … basically down to durability and featues etc and well you dont want to have to be lumbered with a brick thats broke after a year!

i went for stanton c314’s … basically this deck is advertised as being a deck for people who want to scratch … well i dont but my reason for getting the ‘scratch emulater’ thing is that when you flick it onto ”vinyl” mode the jog wheel becomes ubersensitive which is really nice for findin the beat etc. http://www.decks.co.uk/products/cdplayers/stanton/c314 read more about it here … cant be bothered typin 😉

there is the stanton c313 which is a ton cheaper than the c314 and only doesnt feature an effects unit (i never use it but hey you might?)

now … when looking for a deck i advise a bigger jogwheel than the decks with smaller ones basically i find it gives more control … either that or ive got fat ‘ands!

my stantons have had drinks spilled on them, pushed off tables and still aint skipped!

very nice .. my whole decks mixer combo cost my just shy of a grand :yakk: ..all proper crisp shit at the time … it’s all fucked now tho cos i had them a long time … but it’s mainly me not looking after them that fucked them up 😥 .. well apart from the one that my m8 spilt coak and vodka on .. thats one just spins backwards randomly :yakk:

yeah i tecknics are cool like that cos there not over complicated i have vestax and they got loads of electronics inside them so any liquid will fuck them up badly .. espeshaly a whole fucking pint of vodka coke … i tryed cleaning out all the insides but theres sticky shit in all the small componants … it didn’t work at all untill i cleaned it .. now it works but not for long .. so might as well be scrap realy … i just can’t bring myself to through it away .. mby one day i will need it for somthing .. mby a revolving drinks table :laugh_at:
