Whats the likley problem?
only fault is one channel is down the protect light is on might just be a fuse inside but havent taken the lid off this amp is £300 new and you can still use this for powering 2 x 8ohm bass bins each getting 600 watts each could be a £ 5 fix????

What amp is it?

cant see how it can power two @ 600w each if one channel is down?January 21, 2008 at 10:54 pm #1208666Anonymouselretardo87 wrote:We’d need a bit more info so its very difficult to determine without seeing it unless its a common fault. What amp is it?

I know of a lot of problems with c-mark amps. Could be similar situation as this

Also don’t be fooled by the ratings on the box the cmarks are chinese watts. When bench tested they could only supply full power for about 1 second before dipping as the power supply can’t handle it. If your buying budget kit you need the warranty as it is not uncommon for things to fail.
For the money I’d check out matrix amplifiers. The company went bust and the guy who made them still makes them from home and they are really good quality at rock bottom prices. Also andy who builds them will repair them anytime usually for free and is a wicked guy.

If you need to buy a c-mark get it new as the warranty will be seriously handy.

January 22, 2008 at 1:46 pm #1152692They do indeed they are exactly the same amp.
They are all made in the one factory in China and then have different cases slapped on depending on who’s selling them.

It scared the shite into me the first time I turned one on and teh red light wouldn’t turn off.
Other than that though they are lovely amps though. We’re thinking of getting a couple of 3600s to do our wsx’s when we finally get the cash together again.
